Chasing hammers have a large face for striking
chasing tools or flattening. The pein side is for riveting and metal design.
The forged head is wedge-mounted on a hardwood handle. Our chasing hammers
are without question the best in this price range. Slightly rounded faces
with a length of 11".
Our new "German style"
chasing hammer is a high quality tool. The handle is hardwood
featuring a wedge and oblong hole to keep the head from turning. The
large face is flat and the pein side is slanted for better ergonomics when
striking metal. This is a more popular style with European
silversmiths, and preferred by many worldwide. The head is high grade
stainless steel which has been case-hardened for long life.
