Cuttlefish Bone For casting small objects. Press model
directly between two pieces of cuttlefish. The soft shell makes a
smooth walled mold. Sprues, gates, and vents are cut into the wall
with a sharp knife. The two halves are held together with binding wire
and the molten metal is poured into the cavity.
